Your details, kept properly.

What we collect when you ask us about a job, why we need it, who else sees it, and how long we keep it. In plain English.

Who we are

Dragoi Construction Ltd is a building company registered in England and Wales, company number 10183418. We decide how your details are used, so under UK data protection law we're responsible for them.

What we collect

Only what we need to look at your job and get back to you:

your name, mobile number and, if you give it, your email address
the postcode or address of the property
what you want done, your rough budget, when you'd like to start, and whether you own the property, from the forms on this website and in our Facebook and Instagram ads
anything you send us, such as messages, photos of the room, drawings or planning documents
if you ring our number, a record of the call: your number, when you called and for how long
which of our ads or pages you came from, so we know what's working
if we do the work: the job, the price, our notes and visit dates, and any review you choose to leave

We don't ask for, and don't want, anything about your health, beliefs or similar sensitive details.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, visit and quote. You asked us to, and we can't do it without your details.
To do the work and invoice it, as part of our contract with you.
To keep our accounts and tax records, because the law requires it.
To see which ads and pages bring enquiries, keep good records and stop misuse. These are our legitimate interests as a business, and they don't override your rights.
To measure our ads with Facebook's cookies, only if you've accepted them on the cookie banner.
To ask for a review once a job is finished. If you'd rather we didn't, say so and we won't ask again.

We won't send you marketing unless you've asked for it, and you can stop it at any time.

Our assistant

When you message or text us, an assistant may reply first. It's software (AI), not a person. It answers your questions, asks what we'd need to know before a visit, and can book a site visit into our diary. It will tell you it's an assistant if you ask, and you can ask to speak to one of us at any time. It doesn't make any decision about you that you can't talk to us about.

Who else sees it

We never sell your details. We share them only with:

Meta (Facebook and Instagram), when you send a form inside one of our ads, and, if you accept advertising cookies, what you do on this website, such as the pages you visit and whether you send an enquiry
the companies that run our systems for us: the hosting for this website and our enquiry dashboard, our phone number and messages, and our customer records
the marketing agency that runs our ads and these systems for us
the people your job needs, such as our architect, building control and suppliers, and only what they need
anyone the law requires us to tell, such as HMRC

Every company that handles your details for us has to keep them secure and use them only for us.

Outside the UK

Some of these companies are based in, or keep data in, other countries such as the United States. When your details leave the UK, they're protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to two years after we last spoke, in case you come back to us
Customers: six years after the job ends, for our accounts and tax, and longer only if we need it for a guarantee claim or a dispute

Cookies and the map

This website uses Facebook's advertising cookies (Meta's pixel), but only if you accept them on the cookie banner. They tell us which of our ads led to an enquiry, and help Facebook show our ads to people who are likely to need a builder. If you don't accept, they don't load, and the site works just the same. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Apart from those, the site only uses what it needs to work.

The map on our areas page loads from OpenFreeMap, so your browser sends them your internet address to fetch it, the same as it would for any map.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

send you a copy of the details we hold about you
correct anything that's wrong
delete your details, unless we have to keep them, for example for tax
stop or limit how we use them, including any review request or marketing
send your details to you or someone else in a common format

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first and we'll put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

We last updated this notice on 27 October 2026. If we change how we use your details, we'll update it here.
